Park One is a residential development in Macquarie Park. In response to a sea of standardised residential offerings in the area, we set our ambitions high. A modernist sensibility was our starting point for design, which allows for effective multi-housing while expressing interesting forms.
With the fluid forms of Oscar Niemeyer as inspiration, we collaborated with architects Turner Studio to bring Park One to life, creating a simple, cohesive pavilion-style building, with curved forms that accentuate the corners and create breaks in the façade. Comfortable in its surrounding landscape, Park One connects and responds to the local flora and views, with a hero jacaranda central to the design.
The various apartment types are designed to take advantage of the site’s city and area views, maximising north facing apartments, which overlook the landscaped courtyard. Street entry apartments along Byfield Street offer activation along the street edge, while the Sky Terrace on Level 19 offers residents another realm, with views, barbecue, and integrated seating for use all year round.
16km north of the Sydney CBD and close to Macquarie University and Macquarie Park Shopping Centre, Macquarie Park is estimated to be the fourth largest CBD in Australia by 2040.
